Hello!  I am Renée Blasky, founder and CEO of The LEAP Network.

I started learning about the rewards of accepting change and taking risks as a teenager.  My family moved from Minnesota, USA to Hong Kong when I was 14. At first I was scared and quite frankly mad at my father for accepting a job in another country. But without that move, my life would not be anywhere as fulfilling as it is now. I’ve traveled to over 40 countries and have lived as an expat in five countries in Asia and Africa.

I am a CFA Charterholder and for 20 years, I have offered companies business and financial strategy solutions through my consulting company.

But I wasn’t always the risk-taking entrepreneur. I really learned the importance and benefits of risk taking while living on a sailboat for seven years. I spent two of those seven years sailing from Singapore to Kenya, which was a different ball game all together.  The ocean is a completely unpredictable environment that teaches you how to anticipate, plan and adapt. It changed my life completely:  I no longer fear risk, I embrace it.

In 1995, following a personal setback, I further realized life’s fulfillment was also in giving back to others. I mentored teens to set up their business as part of a nine-month program with Junior Achievement.  It was fascinating watching the students create their product and sales strategy and emerge as the most successful student company in Junior Achievement Kenya’s history.  After that, I knew I needed to spend more time sharing my transition and transformtional experiences and expertise with others. So I started working with those wanting to make their transitions more transformational, including helping determine if starting an online business is right for them.
